OURAY, CO

Perry turned the big 29 this past weekend and we went to a bed and breakfast in Ouray, Colorado to celebrate. It was nice to get away-especially for Perry since he as been so busy lately. The picture below is looking down on Ouray. I have posted a bunch of random pictures from the trip.

SHOPPING

So we went shopping at some cute little shops on mainstreet. The picture above is a Swiss shop where everything was made in Switzerland-the owner was even from Switzerland. He had such a cute little accent. We couldn't resist and bought a beautiful little Santa Clause. It was fun going to the little shops but we didn't buy very much because most things were overpriced.

Here are some random pictures of hiking and scenery.

HIKING

We went hiking to a pretty waterfall. Logan was loving being up high on dad's shoulders.

WATERFALL

HOT POTS

After we were done hiking we went and relaxed some hot pot pools. They were so warm and nice I could have stayed in them all day. Logan could not get enough of the water-she was having a blast splashing and kicking.

WHO WANTS ICECREAM?

Okay, I know this is a dorky picture of me, but icecream sounded so good so we went to this icecream shop and I asked for a double scoop of icecream. The lady must have thought I said seven scoops because that is how many she gave me. Perry and I were both dying at how much she gave me. Don't worry I didn't waste any-somehow I managed to eat it all. I know I'm a P I G.

WINTER WONDERLAND

The day we left we woke up to a winter wonderland of about 6 inches of snow. This is a picture looking off of the balcony of our room. It was so pretty. It was a scary drive home though, thank goodness for 4 wheel drive and snow tires or we would have been stuck in Ouray, (which secretly I would have been okay with.)

SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN

I can't believe it's Christmas time already! Our ward had a primary Christmas party for the kids and families. They told stories and had milk and cookies and Santa Clause came. Logan loved Santa and wasn't afraid. She kept looking at his big puffy beard. Anyway, here are some pictures.

FUN WITH THE COUSINS

We got to watch my sister in law Chelsey's kids Harley and Noah this past weekend while they went to Spain. It was alot of fun having them over. We had fun going to the mall and Wendys and playing games. Here they are having a crab race. They are such cute kids. While they were over, my other sister in law Brittani came over with her kids and I posted some cute pictures of the cousins.

LOGAN AND MIQUELIN

THE KIDS VEGGING OUT IN FRONT OF THE T.V.

Logan's baby show was on tv and I guess all of the kids found it pretty entertaining.

LOVING THOSE CHEERIOS

We just got a high chair a month or so ago for Logan and she loves it. She loves to get in it because she know she gets to eat, and she loves eating. (I wonder where she gets that from?) Anyway, I don't think there is anything that she won't eat- she loves trying everything. Her new favorite snack is cheerios.

10 MONTHS

Logan is 10 months already- my how time flies. She is in such a cute stage right now and I love how she is showing her personality more and more. She is such a ham lately. She has this thing she does where she scrunches up her nose and and starts breathing through her nose really loud, then when she is done she starts cracking up at herself. The other day Perry was changing her and she had a really messy diaper and he was gagging and Logan was cracking up so hard at him. It made me laugh. She is so fun to take to the store because she always stares at everyone as if to get their attention and then when they give her attention she smiles and waves her hands in the air. It's so funny- she is definitely not afraid of strangers. Anyway, I don't have very much to blog about so I thought I'd post a couple of cute pictures.

JUST A LITTLE BIT EXCITED

OUR LITTLE MONSTER

For Halloween this year I decided to have Logan be a monster because she is in this growling phase and it sounds like a monster. I saw the costume at Babies R Us and knew she had to have it. On Halloween we went to the tri-ward trunk or treat. Perry and I are over the activities for our ward so we had to come up with different booths (games) for the kids. We did a cake walk and I painted a cardboard ghost for them to throw a ball through it's mouth and other stuff like that. It went pretty well except for the cake walk-the kids destroyed some of the papers before it even started. Oh well- what can you do? Next year I will laminate them for sure. Anyway, it turned out pretty good I think. Now we have to come up with what to do for the Christmas party- so if any of you have any good ideas let me know- please. After the trunk or treat we came home and had a ton of trick or treaters come to the door. It was fun to see all the kids dressed up in their cute costumes. I love Halloween, its great. It makes me feel like a kid again. Here are some more pictures.

AARRGH!! DID I SCARE YOU

I think at this point Logan was getting a little sick of pictures.

TUCKERED OUT LITTLE MONSTER

By the time the night was over we had one little tuckered out monster.

MR. AND MRS. NERD

For Halloween this year Perry and I decided to be nerds. I was glad I was able to get Perry to dress up. We make quite a good looking couple I must say.

DO YOU LIKE MY PANTS?

MY NERD PERRY

All in all I think we canned 112 jars- it ended up being alot more than we were expecting.

6 RANDOM FACTS

Okay so I got tagged by Brittani to list 6 random facts about me so here it goes.

1- I am more of a night owl than a morning person. I usually stay up late and sleep in late. Lately Perry has been wanting to go to bed at 10, which is way to early for me. At night I usually like to read or watch tv before bed time, it helps me relax.

2- I love to make hot chocolate (especially the mint kind) and dip buttered toast in it. Perry does not understand why I like this-but it is scrumptious. The trick is to save some of your mix and pour it in the cup right before you dip the bread in it that way you get the chocolaty goodness. You should try it.

3- I don't like to be bored, or stay at home very much, and often times you will find me running, or going to Target, Walmart or the mall just for fun. I have had soo much time on my hands since Logan was born. I had a job before she was born that kept me somewhat busy, but now that I am a stay at home mom I find myself looking for things to do. I guess I better enjoy it because I am sure things will change once we have more kids. I do enjoy having the privelege to stay at home with Logan- she is such a joy and keeps me entertained.

4-I love running (shocker- I know) I love it because it gives me a sense of freedom. It lets me leave all my cares and stress behind, and it makes me feel energized and happy most of the time. I also love competing. That is definitely a big reason I miss college. Now that I am almost 5 years out of college I try to find races to run and stay in shape for.

5- My two favorite treats are icecream (another shocker) and lately I have been on this kick with chips and salsa. Perry's work had a salsa contest and Perry brought some home. Let me tell you New Mexico is known for using green chiles in everything, (even on hamburgers.) All of the mexican food here is super spicy and hot. Anyway the salsa he brought home was soo hot, but I can not stop eating it-even though it makes my eyebrows sweat! I am turning into a crazy New Mexican!!!

6- Since Logan has been born I have been obsessed with baby headbands. I think they are soo cute. I have a whole big bin of them in most every color you can think of. Every time I go to Utah I cannot stop buying them, ask my mom. Maybe this obsession will stop- but I don't think so.

LEAVES, LEAVES EVERYWHERE

I took these pictures today in our yard, and our leaves are definitely out of control. I figured before we cleaned them up I would get some pictures of Logan in them. I just love fall time. It is such a beautiful time of year and I love the different colors of the trees. I love putting my fall and Halloween decorations out, and I love being able to start wearing my sweaters. If only fall could last longer and we didn't have to go into winter.

WHAT ARE THESE THINGS?

THE PUMPKIN PATCH

I took Logan to the pumpkin patch with my sister in law Brittani and some of the other ladies in

our ward and their kids. It is a cute little place where they have different activities to do like walk through a corn maze, see some animals, pick out a pumpkin, go on a hay ride. Logan liked pretending she was one of the big kids. It will be weird next year when she can actually walk around and play like the big kids.

All the kids after we went through the corn maze.

HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY!

I caught a ride to Utah with my cousin and was there to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. My dad and I embarassed her at work by bringing her balloons and cake for everyone at school, and the next day we had a surprise party for her with the family. I just want to say I appreciate her and all that she does for me- she is such a wonderful person and great example who always puts everone else before herself. I hope you had a good birthday and many more to come.

THRILLER!!

So while I was in Utah my mom, sisters, grandma and aunts went to Thriller. For those who don't know what Thriller is it's a professional dance company (odyssey dance company) who puts on a fun show of different Halloween dances. They all dress up like monsters and each dance is based on a different Halloween theme like Frankenstien, Jason, Chuckey, ect. They have an awesome skeleton dance that they do in the dark. They open and close the show with Michael Jackson's "Thriller" song. It is so much fun, and if you haven't been I would recommend it. We got a real treat this time when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the program and we all had to evacuate the building in the freezing cold for 30 minutes or so while they checked out the building. Anyway, I was glad that I was glad that I got to go see it. It was alot of fun.

THE AIR SHOW

Perry and I went to the airshow in Farmington. It was really fun. This is a picture of a glider plane that had smoke coming out and did a pretty routine to music.

DO YOU LIKE MY CHERRY LIPS?

Logan was loving the cherry slushy that cousin Harley was sharing with her. She kept grunting and sticking out her tongue for more. Her big red lips crack me up.

FIRST BIG MESS

While we were at the air show, Logan was hungry so I pulled out her baby food and put it in the cup holder. I turned my attention to something else and I guess she decided she was going to feed herself. I turned around to feed her and she had the spoon and was flicking baby food everywhere. It was soo funny. So much for a nice clean outfit.

OUR HOUSE

We have had some requests for us to post pics of the house so I finally did. Now you can all see our flat top house. We swore we would never buy a flat top house-but half the houses in Farmington are flat top and this one was so nice inside we couldn't resist. We are enjoying our new home and ward. I can't believe we have been here for two months already. Below are some pics of the house-I didn't take any of the upstairs or sunroom.
