SAN DIEGO

I have been a little slow at finishing this post-but it is finally done! Two weeks ago we took a trip to San Diego for Perry's sister Mikael's wedding...We were there for almost a week and had a really great time..Here are some pics to recap our adventures..

On our trip we learned HOW TO....

make sandcastles

We also learned how to pan for gold at the mormon battalion museum..

We learned how to "get along" with each other...These two actually get along really well. They are so cute to watch... We also learned how to "shake it" on the dance floor.

The number one most IMPORTANT thing we learned is how to NOT apply sunscreen...(yeah that would be my bad....sorry Perry) I might never live this one down... On our way to San Diego we stopped and stayed at a resort in Pheonix...It was so nice and relaxing...

I loved the flowers all over the grounds.

Since it was ONLY 113 degrees we spent most of our time at the pool...

love this one of Perry and Cache

The kids loved the kiddie pool... We spent most of the day here before heading the rest of the way to San Diego..... Hardly anyone was there-(I guess everyone leaves Pheonix during summer because of the heat....)

The next day was the wedding....Such a beautiful ceremony and temple..San Diego is gorgeous inside and out. Of course I had to get some pictures..

The flowers were amazing...

Beautiful Mikael with all the little kiddos.

We spent the day going to the luncheon..(so good) and then the reception in Temecula. Here are some pictures of the reception...

Such a cute couple...

The reception was nothing short of Amazing to say the least...One of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen...My camera does not do these pictures justice but here is a portion of the yard it was at...

Gorgeous center pieces and tablecloths...

Mikael and neices and nephews.

All the kids were lovin the dance floor..

especially mine

We spent a couple days at the beach (getting fried) and trying out the boogie boards.(so fun)

We also went to Sea World

And saw Shamu (and pretty much every other show too)

The kids were really tuckered out by the end of the day...I love this one of Logan sleeping on her dolfin that she named...get this....Himjamonja..I don't know where she came up with it but that is her name...LOL

Tuesday we spent the whole day driving home...(13 hrs with stops)...yeah-it was kind of long...All in all it was a great trip...I'm ready to go back and try the boogie board some more..

4TH OF JULY

HAPPY 4TH!!! Hope you had a great one!!

My brother is back!!

Guess who's back?? My brother just returned from the Seattle Washington mission a couple weeks ago...I took a trip to Utah and was there for about a week and a half or so going to a baby blessing, temple endowment, Bret's homecoming, etc... It was alot of fun and for once it was warm weather while I was there! (every time I go to Utah it is usually cold!) It was fun seeing Bret-and having the cousins play together and did I mention shopping?? Anyway it was fun...Here are some pictures.. Bret and his nieces and nephew (He had two new ones to meet)

Love Cache's blue lips in this one

While we were there I also ran the Utah Valley marathon. I debated on whether to run due to an injury I have been battling. I am glad I ran because I ended up having a great race (minus the last 10k) and finished with a PR time of 3:01 (6:55 pace) and 3rd girl overall and 500 bucks richer...The funny story is my brother (who only had been home a week or so) so also ran it! Long story short-Perry ended up getting a free bib to run it (he was never planning on running it) and he told Bret he should use his bib and run. Bret said "I'll run it for 100 bucks." Perry challenged him that if he ran it under 5 hours he would pay him 100 bucks...Sure enough at 3 in the morning Bret snook out of the house with me and all he kept saying the whole 26.2 mile bus ride up is "Mama gonna kill me." Anyway he ended up finishing with a time of 4:28. Not too bad considering he is about 35 lbs heavier than pre-mission and had NO TRAINING whatsoever! At least he is 100 bucks richer-not sure that makes up for being 1000 times sorer! Too funny--

No one had a camera at the race so I made Bret pose with me like we are running...

The kids had fun pretending Grandpa was a horse....

We also got to meet new cousin Max...He is soo cute and has so much hair!!

Cache and cousin Eli...I could not crack a smile out of either of them...

Perry sent me these for our 7 year anniversary...Biggest flowers I have ever gotten by far...Can't believe it has been 7 years!

Cache in Great Grandma's beautiful garden of flowers....

All in all it was a good trip minus Cache's crying episodes...(He was teething and being grouchy)

Memorial day weekend

We took a trip to Mancos for Memorial day weekend with our friends. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

Cache's vocabulary dwindled to one word while we were camping....."Ride"-He just kept pointing at the 4-wheeler the whole time "ride ride, ride..."

Logan loved playing with RJ and Alyse and probably wore out her welcome spending so much time in their trailer. Enjoying snacks by the pond listening to the croaking frogs.

Cache wanted in and out all the time...(mostly out)

Getting ready for the ride....

Our friends machine did awesome riding through the muck and the mud....

Minus the cold it was a fun trip and I am ready for the next one....
