Payton Connie Webb

Our computer completely crashed on us.. We are trying to back up some things on our hard drive-but for now I am going to have to update everything on my iPad. We had our little girl Payton Connie Webb on April 17th... She was born 12 days early and Was 5 lb 7 oz and 18 inches. Everything went great.. I wasn't induced this time so I was afraid I wouldn't know when to go to the hospital, but at 3 in the morning I started having some contractions that felt harder than "normal." i thought this could be the real thing-but didn't let myself get too excited. These contractions lasted about 2 hours and they somewhat died off allowing me to get an hour of sleep before they woke me up at 6 being stronger and harder.. I lay in bed for about an hour timing them-but they were All over the board.. Some every two minutes, some every 3-5 minutes.. Some were weak and some were strong.. Each contraction was also short.. I kept debating whether or not to wake perry up and finally decided yes... "I've been having some good contractions and I think we might need to go to the hospital" I told him.. He jumped up and was in and out of the shower in 5 minutes.. I took a quick shower and we called perry's sister Chelsey to come over to watch the kids.. She came at about 7:15 and we were out the door.. Of course on the way over to the hospital my contractions died down and were farther apart.. I thought oh no I'm going to get there and they are going to send me home.. I actually debated on whether to have perry turn around and go back home.. After another good contraction or 2 we decided to just go in.. When I got there I was dilated to a 4 and 100 effaced, so they got me a room.. Once I got in a room they started coming harder and about every 2 minutes.. I was at a 5 when I got the epidural and after that labor went really fast. She was born 2 hours later after 45 minutes of pushing(which seemed like forever). It was kind of nice going into labor on my own, and it was exciting compared to being induced. Anyway, She was born at 12:25.. Right after giving birth they gave her to me and let me just hold her forever.. I loved that they didn't take her away right after.. It was nice having time with her... I fell totally in love with her the second i saw her.. It's crazy how you can love something so much.. Anyway, Everything went great and we are so happy she is here.. She is really sweet and the kids are loving her, especially Logan. She loves holding her and has been a big help to me so far.. Cache is a little afraid to hold her, but he still gives her lots of kisses. My mom came into town for a week which was really nice, and it has been nice to have help and dinners from family and friends.. Besides being tired I am feeling great and she is doing great.. So far, recovery with this one has been the easiest. Anyway, I wanted to write her birth story so I don't forget, pictures will come when I can use a computer...

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a good Easter.. We did. Quick update on us...Things have definitely been a little crazy here lately. Perry went to Moab dirt biking with his friends a little over a week ago and fell on his bike and broke his shoulder so he had surgery last Monday. 13 pins are holding the bone in place.. Luckily they didn't have to do a complete shoulder replacement, but his shoulder was defintely trashed. Anyway, he has been in pain-but slowly getting better day by day. It is going to be a long road of physical therapy.. I guess we should be greatful he wasn't injured more than he was and it was his left arm he injured so that is a blessing. I told him he couldn't go anymore though... I'll pay you to take his bike.. Any takers? I am also due April 29th so it should make it interesting when the baby comes. He won't be able to help at all, but I'm not too concerned ... I know what to expect with babies and know that I will be just fine.. No big deal. On a lighter note, Easter was great and we are looking forward to the baby.. Especially Logan-she talks about it all the time and reminds me how big my stomach is getting. I am excited to not be pregnant anymore-no heartburn and indigestion sound great to me so I am counting down the days...
Here is Perry's xrays after his surgery. The one on the left is looking at the ball joint from the top.. The right picture is looking at the side view.. yuck..
Painting eggs... They loved it.

Love how Logan spelled Happy Easter.. (We always say Habeester at our house now) At least she is trying to sound things out, even if they are way off lol.
